Founded in 2017, DDR is a partnership between 100 percent Aboriginal-owned Hutcheson and Co Holdings and our capacity partner Duratec. DDR was established with the purpose of providing opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and businesses across Australia.
Having managed his Darwin-based, 100% Aboriginal owned company Hutcheson and Co Holdings specialises in painting, coatings, building maintenance, renovation, electrical, plumbing and landscaping services for over 15 years, Thomas Hutcheson was ready to strengthen and expand his business nationally.
Duratec, with their national footprint and diverse service capabilities was the perfect partner – a synergy of culture, quality, and business acumen complementing Hutcheson and Co Holdings’ company vision and core values.
The founders of each business (Thomas Hutcheson and Phil Harcourt) worked together to build and align their vision for the new enterprise and DDR was formed.
