Lake Hart Safety & Heritage Works

Project Description

Located near Woomera in South Australia, Lake Hart is a large salt lake and popular tourist destination.

The Department of Defence’s use of the land around Lake Hart has been primarily associated with weapons and rocket testing.

The 6A rocket launcher is located within the Woomera Range complex on the north-eastern edge of the lake and is a relic of the range’s significant history of space-based activities.

DDR were engaged by Defence to replace the access roadway to the 6A rocket launcher viewing platform, including the placement of road base materials, culvert installations and bollards.

DDR also supplied and installed new signage.
