Project Description

The RAAF Woomera Range Complex is a major Australian military and civil aerospace facility and operation located in South Australia, approximately 450km north-west of Adelaide.

DDR were engaged to perform the following scope of works at various locations on the base:

Installation of a new storage tanks.
New pumping station.
Civil and general earthworks.
Trenching.
Construction of concrete structures.
Sealant repairs.
Pipework installations (above and below ground).
Backfilling and compaction of trenches.
Making good of surfaces.

Project HIGHLIGHTS

Undertaking of pipeline investigations (NDT) from Woomera to Port Augusta with the requirement to liaise and manage isolations of the service with all stakeholders including pastoralists.
Demolition of ~20m/20T steel water tank without dedicated lifting points.
Working in and over a live waste water treatment facility.
Combination of passive and active CP systems.
Working in conjunction with the live asset responsible for the delivery of all potable water to the Woomera region.
